The Camerata Orchestra prepared and performed in their first UIL competition April 14, receiving a Superior rating in every area from every judge with outstanding remarks and comments.
The students include Lucy Elizarraras, Ian Stinson, Kayla Stradling, Sophia Fisher, Ella Azua, Ruby Neighman, Brenna Putman, Connor Nauert, Connor Belusar, Sariah Caldwell, Dominic Ravet, Daily McComas, Jason Agnew, and Tristan LaDue.
“This year has presented more than its share of challenges for everyone, especially those students whose ensembles have been divided between campuses and remote learners,” orchestra director Jackie Wogick said. “They had only four rehearsals together as an orchestra to prepare difficult repertoire.”
The Sinfonietta and Concertante Orchestras received an Excellent rating in Concert and a Superior rating in Sight Reading. This includes freshmen Anneleise Snell, Anika Chalak, sophomore Alexander Stinson, and senior Eric Meas.
“I couldn’t be more proud of them,” Wogick said.
