Junior Natalie Chavez placed third in Texas in Prepared Speaking, which was determined by her area scores. Chavez will now advance to the virtual International Competition in June. Chavez is a HOSA officer, along with being a committed band student. This will be the second year in a row that a HOSA student has advanced this far.

Also, senior and HOSA President Chloe Aguilar has won the $1,000 HOSA scholarship for her service as HOSA President over the last two years.
