On Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15, three choirs (Treble, Concert, and Chamber) represented the Choir Program at UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation. The students performed concert repertoire for a panel of three judges for Concert. They also performed a Sightreading piece they have never read before for a panel of three different judges. Each judge gave the choirs a rating from 5 (Poor) to 1 (Superior). The ultimate goal is to receive Sweepstakes, or overall superior ratings in both Concert and Sightreading. All of the choir groups received Sweepstakes or 1’s across the board.

” We are very excited and I am very proud of these students and their tireless hard work,” choir director Courtney Neva said.
