Cheer tryout packets are now available in the front office. If you are interested in trying out, pick one up & fill it out. They are due by March 4.
The Meraki is back and open for submissions. The literary magazine is looking for your best poems, short stories, and black pen art. Submissions will run from now through Friday, March 15. Submissions can be done through the QR Code on the flyer. Artwork can be dropped off to B. 208. If you have any questions, see Coach Crain.
Come by the student media table and photo booth during lunch on February 14 to get a picture with your significant others or just because and to help raise money for the student media department. First photo is just $2 and then each additional $1. The staff will be stationed outside the cafeteria so be on the lookout Thursday.
The Floral Design program will be selling flowers before school in the Paw Print and during both lunches on February 14. Get that someone special a sweet gift and support the program.
The FFA will be hosting a dance at DS Ranch Park on Feb 15 to kick off FFA Week from 7-10 p.m. Admission is $5 and there will be food and drinks for sale. This is for all DSHS students and ONLY high school students. You do not have to be in FFA to attend.
Applications for student media are due next Friday, February 22. Join journalism to learn about interviewing, writing articles, page design, broadcasting, and photography. Then, contribute to the Tiger Cry yearbook, The Paw Print newspaper, and mydshs.com web site and social media platforms.
