1. The Class of 2020 officers will be holding a class meeting at 8:15 on October 11 in the lecture hall. They will be discussing prom, class spirit, the homecoming float, and more. All Class of 2020 students are invited.

2. Please join the Theatre department for our Scenes & Monologues Showcase on Wednesday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Black Box F206. Admission is free, and seating is limited, so arrive early. Contact Rickman or Duncan if you have questions.

3. The JV football game has changed to Wednesday this week instead of playing on Thursday. Our JV football team will travel to Hays HS to play there at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10.

4. You are cordially invited to attend the FFA Leadership Development Events Spotlight on Tuesday, October 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Dinner will be provided, so please RSVP to Mr. Blount, Mr. Jones or Mrs. Trussell before Friday at 5 p.m.

5. October 13 is Astronomy Day. Celebrate by looking at the southwestern sky just after dusk. You could see the planet Saturn. If you have a telescope, you could see its rings and moons. Stay tuned for more science celebrations during the month of October.

6. Theatre is excited to announce their first main stage production of the year: Neil Simon’s “Rumors”. Four couples arrive for an anniversary celebration, only to discover that the host is mysteriously injured and his wife, along with the butler and the maid, is missing. With no one quite sure what exactly is going on, this fast-paced comedy is sure to have you asking, “What are the rumors?”.
