Junior Qasim Aziz founded the cricket club at Dripping Springs High School to foster culture and camaraderie amongst students by exposing them to a game popular around the world amongst different peoples. As a Muslim, Aziz wants to use the club to as a way to open himself up to students and help open eyes to other cultural experiences.
“For most of the people here in Dripping Springs, I’m the only Muslim that they know right now or probably will ever know for a while until they get out into the real world,” Aziz said.
