1. The year is almost over but it’s not over YET. Let us help you get through the final weeks with the incredible Talent Night, coming up in May! Auditions for Talent Night are May 4 after school, the show is May 11. Go to dshstheatre.com to sign up!
  2. Help mothers in need by donating diapers and baby wipes to Students 4 Life‘s diaper drive! Please bring your items to the nurse’s office, and know that 3 items will earn you one service hour. You can donate from April 27 to May 12, giving mothers these necessities just in time for Mother’s Day. 
  3. The Reading and Discussing Celebrated Literature Club is holding a book drive
    April 18- May 7.
    Bring your books to the counseling office.
    3 books = 1 community service hour (and there is a max of 10 hours)
    They can be any type of books, and they will all be donated to Book Spring, an organization that provides books for children and families in Central Texas.
  4. Skip the tacos on Fridays, Chick-fil-a will be sold at The Paw beginning at 8 a.m. Come hungry! Thanks for supporting the Class of 2020!
  5. Congrats to the state qualifiers honored Monday evening at the School Board meeting. This included students from VASE, HOSA, Band, Science Fair, and UIL Academics. Also to junior Seeley Haas for winning the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation (TAPT) State Bus Safety Speech contest.
