Junior Seeley Haas placed first at the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation (TAPT) State Bus Safety Speech contest. At this competition, 47 students from across the state of Texas competed for the top 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade designations.  Haas researched, wrote and memorized a six minute speech on the topic “My driver, my safety hero.”
Last year, Haas won first place at this event amongst all the 10th graders in Texas and as a 9th grader, she placed 3rd at this state competition. This year alone, Haas has been awarded almost $1000 in scholarships from the TAPT competitions.
