  1. The 2016 Coats for Kids Drive has begun. Look through your closets and bring in any gently used coats for those kids in need. Turn in your coats to your 2nd period teacher! The 2nd period class that collects the highest percentage of coats will receive a Delicious Holiday Breakfast from the Counseling Office staff.
    The last day to bring in coats will be December 2.
    Please help support this great program.
  2. There is still time to get on board the student trip to Spain this coming summer. There will be an informational meeting in the library THIS Thursday @ 6:15. Bring your parents and your questions – everyone welcome! Stop by Sra. Gardner’s room for more information!
  3. National Art Honor Society next meeting will be Thursday, November 17, in Mr. Bates room at 8:20. We will be discussing field trips and future service projects. We hope to see you there!
  4. Attention students and teachers alike, if you have any stories whether they are crazy or not, we want to hear them for a segment on Tiger Daily News. A few of the brilliant minds here will animate them and tell them through these animations. So, be sure to send in your stories to dshsstorytime@gmail.com. We hope to hear your stories.
  5. DSHS Speech and Debate team had a successful weekend at the Boerne Champion Texas Forensic Association State qualifier. Students placing individually include-
    Jackson Laws- 3rd place in Lincoln Douglas Debate
    Mason Mohon- 6th place in Congressional Debate
    Dylan Farr- finalist in Congressional Debate
    Kaitlyn Burk- semifinalist in Novice Extemporaneous Speaking
    Seeley Haas- semifinalist in Original Oratory
