Valentine’s Day has come and gone, but if your three-day weekend wasn’t satisfactory, hopefully the half price chocolate was able to make up for it. For many, February can mean a month of love and roses and pink and red, but for some, it means anxiety about finding a Valentine to watch sappy rom-coms with. Personally, I’ve always felt that the holiday is slightly overrated. I think most people will agree that having one specific day of the year to spoil your significant other is a little pathetic. If you truly love someone, you should spoil them every day of the year. Although, Valentine’s Day does give you a good excuse to plan a whole day of fun activities. This year, lots of girls decided to take a positive spin on the typical Valentine’s Day festivities and chose to celebrate Galentine’s day. Galentine’s Day is just another way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your friends. I think Valentine’s Day should be a day about celebrating every single person that you love instead of just one. This is the first year I’ve ever actually celebrated Valentine’s Day with someone, and let me just say it is a lot more fun than sitting at home wishing you had a date. Even if you don’t have a date when the next Valentine’s Day rolls around, plan a Galentine’s or Palentine’s day for the people that you love.
